Sadness in Neverland (无忧岛的忧愁)

                                           Sadness in Neverland
                                          --Written after reading Peter Pan

In the summer vacation, I read a fairy tale named Peter Pan. In fact, I heard the book years ago and have wanted to read it for a long time.

When I was in high school, I really liked comic books. One More Jump is one of my favorite comic books. From the book, I know Peter Pan is a happy boy without unhappiness. He can fly. He is good with fairies. I know, there is a statuary for him in Linkin Park. In this vacation, I got the chance of enjoying the book.

The story is about Peter Pan, a boy who doesn’t want to grow up. He lives in Neverland with several little boys lost by their parents. Peter is the leader of them. They lives happily together. They need not go to school or do homework. They just have fun. When they are bored, they go to fight with the pirates.

Windy is a girl deaming of experiencing adventure. By chance, she came across Peter Pan and started her adventure. She learnt to fly from Peter and flew with him to Neverland. The boys there asked her to be their mom and loved to listen to her stories. Peter and Windy liked each other. Peter took Windy far away from danger again and again. He took her to see mermaids and saved her brothers from the pirates. Windy told stories to Peter and took care of him. But She knew clearly that She could not avoid growing up. That is why they also quarreled with each other.

Neverland is the heaven of Peter. He can do anything he wants to do. The horrific captain of the pirates Hook is an underdog in their fight. Peter cut one of Hook’s hand away.

But it is not ture that there is no sadness in Never land for Peter. He also misssed his parents. But when he flew back to the window of his bedroom, he found that the window was closed and his mother was sitting on his bed with another baby. It was so cruel that he founded that he was unwanted. He liked Windy and wanted to be together with her forever. But Windy wanted to leave him back home. And she didn’t believe they can always be children. Though he never acknowledged, his heart is isolated. He even could not fly when Hook lied to him that Windy really hate that he could not be a man and she wanted leave him. Because only when he is happy, can he fly.

Even in Neverland, sadness still exists.
